Wadden Sea National Park

Hello!

Today i want to show you a postcard i received this week. It's from Germany and it shows Wadden Sea National Park's beautiful landscapes, animals and plants.

Located along the coast of three different countries (Denmark, Germany and The Netherlands), Wadden Sea's National Parks have the purpose of  protecting the unique ecology of the area. German and dutch areas of the Wadden Sea have been part of UNESCO WHS since 2009, and the danish one was included in 2014. Wadden Sea is well known for his fauna and flora's richness, specially for it's birds, that use the area as a migration stopover or wintering site.

The card came with two stamps, one shows the painting "The last supper" by Lucas Cranach the Younger, a german renaissance painter and portraitist. The other one shows Staberhuk's lighthouse, the oldest one in Fehmarn island, built in 1903.

Thank you very much, Renate!
