Black and white

Hello!

Today i want to show you a card i received from two different postcrossers. One came from Germany, and the other one from the Netherlands.

It's a black and white scene from New York's Grand Central Station, the train station that has more platforms in the world. I've seen it in some movies and it seems an elegant and a very huge place!

Both cards came beautifully stamped. The one from the Netherlands came with three stamps, the first one from St. John's gothic cathedral in Hertogenbosch, the second with Jacob's staff, formerly used in astronomy and navigation to measure angles and nowadays used mainly as a tripod; and the third one from a series of road safety education.

The card from Germany came with two stamps, one of a tagetes flower and the other with an angel bringing good wishes.

Thank you very much, Elonie and Verena!

Goodbye kiss

Hello!

Today i want to show you this lovely card that came from Lithuania, my first one from this country! In it we can see a romantic black and white scene with a couple kissing goodbye at the train station platform. It's a sweet and sad scene at the same time. The postcard was made for International Organization for Migration's 60th anniversary. I.O.M is the most important intergovernmental organization in the field of migration. It was originally founded in 1951to help resettle people displaced by World War II. It promotes and helps international migration, advising governments and providing assistant to migrants in need.

It came with a a stamp of Pope John Paul II's pilgrimage to Lithuania, and a postmark of the 60th anniversary of I.O.M.

Thank you very much, Almo2!
